Failure to Market Your Business
Everyone starts a business and understands that advertising is essential to success. Unfortunately, they fail to educate themselves on the ins and outs of advertising and end up pouring money into the advertising pit.
Marketing your house cleaning business is defining a strategy that you can implement over a period of time to generate ads that bring in the targeted customers that want what you have to offer. If you want to grab as much work as possible by quoting the lowest price, you don't want to advertise in the upper income communities. You might find some work, but people eventually realize they don't get the best service by hiring at the lowest price.
If you're offering high quality work and have priced your service on the high-end, don't waste your money advertising in any community. You will need to target those areas that are willing to spend money.
It takes time to get results from your ads. So tracking every ad you place and the response it generates allows you to make adjustments until the ad finally pays off. People also need to see ads multiple times before they decide to respond. Make sure your ad is offering someting they want in a way that will make them react now; not later. Everyone wants their house cleaned, but not everyone is motivated to do it now.
A basic understanding of marketing and advertising for your industry is required to successfully market your house cleaning business.
